പഴയ ഫോർഡ് കാറിന്റെ ബമ്പറും സ്റ്റിയറിങ്ങും ഹെഡ് ലൈറ്റുമൊക്കെ പിടിപ്പിച്ച ഒരു മാരുതി 800 ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു പഴയൊരു ചങ്ങാതിക്ക്. മാരുതി ഫ്രോഡ് എന്നായിരുന്നു വിചിത്രരൂപിയായ ആ സാധനത്തിനെ നാട്ടുകാർ വിളിച്ചിരുന്നത്. ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്‌ണൻ ബിയുടെ മാരുതി ഫ്രോഡ് ആണ് ഈ സിനിമ.

ഏ.വി.എ പ്രൊഡക്ഷന്‍സിന്‍റെ ബാനറില്‍ ഏ.വി.അനൂപ്‌ നിര്‍മ്മിച് ആശിര്‍വാദ് റിലീസ്‌ പ്രദര്‍ശനത്തിന് എതിരിക്കുന്ന "മിസ്റ്റര്‍ ഫ്രോഡ്" തരക്കേടില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ത്രില്ലര്‍ സിനിമയാണ്.

M. Fraud is a cool movie. This is a Malayalam movie, pl don’t go the movie as if you are going to watch Dhoom 4 or Krish 3.

The mission of a thief of immeasurable talents is the story of ‘Mr. Fraud’. With varied looks at varied places, the thief however managed to raise some questions over the logic of the plot at times.

Now whether this is enough or not is a matter of individual choice. Mr. Fraud remains old wine in new bottle, but thankfully the wine is palatable.

B Unnikrishnan's 'Mr.Fraud' is a tedious robbery exercise that is sappy and downright predictable. Stuffed with redundant songs and a sentimental family track that looks way out of place, the film that initially promises to be an edge-of-the-seat action caper ends up being a wannabe thriller sans any real kicks or buzz. 

All in all, this 'Mr Fraud, lacks a fine central plot and effective scenes. If you are a die hard fan of Mohanlal, there is something in it. And for others, this is just another run of the  mill heist story with nothing fresh.

If you are a Mohanlal fan too, you might feel that the movie could have been better. It is more like a half baked movie with some flaws here and there. Do not expect much from this Mr Fraud.

Watchable, enjoyable conman story, would appeal greatly to Mohanlal fans and youngsters...a treat for Mohanlal fans.

We are going with 2.5 out of 5 for UnniKrishnan's failed attempt Mr Fraud, that you probably want to see in your television rather than in theatre.

Mr Fraud is the kind of film that will fly out of your head, by the time you are out of the theatre. If your concept of films is limited to that, try this one at your risk.

Mr Fraud is not at all such a tedious watch with its luxuriant display of gadgets, air-screen projectors and dialogues resonant with technical terms. The fight and chase happen with the accompaniment of dry-leaves propelled away with vigour, but certainly not as unbearable as the tiring song-sequences which offer no mercy for ears.

Mr. Fraud Manages To Cheat Its Audience.

To sum it up, Mr. Fraud is an average thriller. It is a film written for the fans of the actor. B Unnikrishnan has always failed in creating good films when he tries to take key elements from contemporary developments. Mr. Fraud, which took inspiration from the recent developments in the Sree Padhmanabhaswami temple and the treasure associated with it, could not develop much in the writing side.
 

This one is not a family entertainer you want to rush to the first week, or the second for that matter, unless you’re a hardcore Mohanlal fan or a diehard B Unnikrishnan admirer.

Overall, the film is an average one  that is OK for a one time watch with the least of expectations. In short the film has a good 1st half with lot of suspense and thrilling stunts. Mohanlal has done his various makeovers with perfection. Dont expect a blockbuster as it is a big budget movie. But surely Mr. Fraud is a complete entertainer.

Mr.Fraud has the right ingredients to appeal the family audience and though most of it is expected, it is the pace and ability with which the audience is engaged and the entertainment value they get.
